about

Co-written with Anthony Hughes, this song was just a chorus for a long time and I couldn't get past the 1st verse.

Once I opened it up as a collaboration then it seemed to write itself pretty quickly after that.

The concept of a relation-ship was inspired by reading one of Oshos books about intimacy. He was a controversial Indian mystic who died in the last 30 years.
His readings and books have inspired a few of my lyrics and song ideas.

Relationship

This relationship is sinking
As we both try to bail
While we sit there thinking
This relationship has sailed

V.1
You don't know where you're going
And I don't care where we've been
And there's no way of knowing
From where this storm has come in

V2.
You say there's no destination
Well how do we know when we're there?
I don't know If you can see this
And you don't know if I care

Chorus
This relationship is sinking
As we both try to bail
While we sit there thinking
This relationship has sailed

V3.
Are we just starry eyed lovers
Adrift on a sea of dreams
Falling in love with each other
Or just falling a part at the seams

No where near the horizon
And so far a way from the shore
We can find our own paradise
Or end up with nothing at all

Chorus
This relationship is sinking
As we both try to bail
While we sit there thinking
This relationship has sailed
