I Saw Three Ships

about

I hope Yule love this Christmas song!

I took a little detour whilst recording my album Leaving Lost Vagueness and wanted to record a classic Christmas song wasn't one of the obvious choices, other artists like Sting and Van Morrison have also had the same idea and done a version of this song too.

I think the lyrics are a bit mysterious as he they mention the saviour Christ and his lady! Did Jesus have a girlfriend? or does it refer to his mother?
Who knows, but one things is for sure, lisetning to this song makes me feel like Iam sitting around the piano at a school assembly singing carols!

Which for me is a good memory...Enjoy!

lyrics

I saw three ships come sailing in
On Christmas Day, on Christmas Day;
I saw three ships come sailing in
On Christmas Day in the morning.

Pray, wither sailed those ships all three,
On Christmas Day, on Christmas Day;
Pray, wither sailed those ships all three,
On Christmas Day in the morning.

O they sailed into Bethlehem,
On Christmas Day, on Christmas Day;
O they sailed into Bethlehem,
On Christmas Day in the morning.

And all the bells on earth shall ring,
On Christmas Day, on Christmas Day;
And all the bells on earth shall ring,
On Christmas Day in the morning.

And all the souls on earth shall sing,
On Christmas Day, on Christmas Day;
And all the souls on earth shall sing,
On Christmas Day in the morning.

Then let us all rejoice again,
On Christmas Day, on Christmas Day;
Then let us all rejoice again,
On Christmas Day in the morning
